Part One: Imagine Your Future
There are a lot of things to think about when imaging your future. You will need to make many hard decisions like what to do for a living and where to live. I don’t know what I’m going pick as a career but I do enjoy art and math. My dad and most of my family are business owners of many restaurants. My mom does most of the accounting and banking for the restaurants. Maybe I would like to be an account, lawyer, or even go into business management. Two places where I would want to live in after graduation are Naples, Italy and North Carolina. I love the sun and I hate the cold and snow so I probably wouldn’t want to live in north. I also like to live near the water. I picked Naples, Italy because most of my family lives there. I grew up there as a baby and have a lot of memories. Our house there is right by the water; I could walk to the beach and be there in about ten minutes. I see my family every year during the summer time but it would be nice to live close to them. They don’t speak American, so they can’t move to the U.S. Europe has a good diet. They eat lots of fresh seafood from the Mediterranean and lots of steak. They don’t really have good health care system compared to the U.S. A couple of my family members live in North Carolina. I usually visit them in the winter or spring. I really like it down there because everything looks more spaced out and seems calmer. The climate is warmer then Maryland. America also has good health care and job opportunities. The downside of leaving Maryland would probably be leaving where I spent most of my childhood and teenage years. If I do leave Maryland, I would also be leaving my family’s restaurants. I have a lot of memories that I would be leaving behind. But I would rather leave that behind to live with my family members that I only get to see once or twice a year. Many hard decisions are going to be made planning out the future. I'm glad I don't have to deciced now.
